生醫材料的定義(Definition of Biomaterial)

          生醫材料(biomaterial)係一人工合成材料,被用來取代活體部份糸統或直接與活體接觸執行其功能。根據Clemson University Advisory Board for Biomaterials1已正式將生醫材料定義為:一種有系統合乎藥理的鈍性物質,其可被植入(implantation)或合併入(incorporation)活體系統中。相對地生物材料(biological material)係由生物系統中製造取得,如骨質(bone matrix)或牙齒琺瑯(tooth enamel)2
